A Message from Paul

"As a Republican and 20-year resident of Calvert County with three kids, I am deeply concerned for the future of our beautiful County. I hope you'll join our mission to preserve and improve Calvert for future generations and support my campaign for County Commissioner."

Meet Paul Harrison

About Paul

Paul has lived in Huntingtown with his wife Tracey and three children, Paul Henry, Tyler, and Molly for over 20 years.

A graduate of both Georgetown University and the University of Maryland, Paul has spent his 30-year career managing, budgeting, planning, improving and accounting at major institutions.

Besides his professional pursuit, Paul spends his time away from work with his kids and his tractor (Kubota B2601), and spent much of his time volunteering with organizations including the Cub Scouts Pack 1806 and Boy Scouts Troop 903, the Calvert Collaborative for Children & Youth and the Calvert Elks.

Parents Unite!

"As a father of three, former Scout leader and former Board member of Calvert Collaborative for Children & Youth, I am concerned about the future of Calvert County for our children.  Unsustainable spending and zoning practices need to be stopped.  Let's get to work improving Calvert County for future generations by:

  1. Demanding fiscal restraint and accountability through all taxpayer funded activities;
  2. Leveraging County resources outside of the school system to address the mental heath crisis of kids and adults resulting from the COVID lockdown;
  3. Promoting fairness in payment of local property taxes by reducing and eliminating high density development projects that strain local resources (Schools, Police, Fire-EMS and Sewer) but are exempt from local property taxes;
  4. Promoting Patriotism to include restoring the Pledge of Allegiance to our schools and eliminating any policy, rule or practice that disparages one race, culture or ethnicity in favor of another.  We are all equal and all lives matter.
  5. Working with our State partners to resolve 20-year old choke points of traffic Southbound on Route 4 at Ward, Cheneyville, Old Town and Stoakley Roads - "Three Lanes Through the Queue;" and
  6. Creating a modern sports complex reflective of Calvert's commitment to families."
